Tonight I attended the kick-off screening of Record Set Go, a new web series produced by my friends at RecordSetter.com. If you’ve never heard of RecordSetter, it’s an online database of world records, similar to Guinness. The twist is that anyone can set ANY record with the appropriate evidence. Quick SAT flashback for you — RecordSetter is to Guinness as Wikipedia is to Encyclopedia Britannica. It’s a crowd sourced collection of some of the most impressive and weirdest records you will ever see.
Anyway, Record Set Go looks like it’s going to be a pretty fun show to watch. The hosts of the show, Billy Disney and Ryan DeNardo, were at the screening and talked a little bit about why they’re doing the show and what’s in store for future episodes. Every show, they attempt to break an existing record or set a new record. Records so far include “Most Dogs Kissed in 1 Hour” and “Longest Piggyback Rollerblade Ride”. Can’t wait to see what else they come up with.
Also, in true RecordSetter fashion, we set an impromptu record for “Longest Row of Men in Plaid Shirts.” Any challengers?
